LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
GenTemP warrants products of its manufacture against defects in workmanship or materials in accord with all terms of this Limited Warranty. Products warranted in accord with the terms hereof will, in the event of defects in workmanship or material, be replaced by GenTemP in accord with the procedures, limitations and provisions of this Limited Warranty.
WARRANTY PERIOD. All obligations of GenTemP arising from the sale of products of its manufacture under this Limited Warranty are limited to claims made within one (1) year from the date of installation as proven by copy of installation invoice.
PRODUCTS WARRANTED. GenTemP heating element, thermostat and battery pad, and high limit safety. GenTemP makes no warranties of any auxiliary or component equipment not manufactured by GenTemP which may be used with or incorporated into any GenTemP product. Such auxiliary or component equipment may or may not be supported by a warranty of its manufacturer. Upon failure of any auxiliary or component equipment as the result of a claimed defect in workmanship or materials, GenTemP will reasonably assist its customer in identification of the manufacturer of the failed item and in documenting the item’s use in a product of GenTemP which was sold to the claimant customer.
GENERAL WARRANTY LIMITATIONS.
- INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE. Any product subject to a Limited Warranty claim must be demonstrated by the claimant to have been installed and maintained in full accord with any and all instructions of GenTemP and, in the absence of any applicable instructions or recommendations of GenTemP, in accord with good engineering practices.
- CORROSION. GenTemP makes no warranty against damage or loss from corrosion or similar conditions occurring in the use or storage of any product.
- APPLICATION. GenTemP makes no warranty that any of its products are suitable for any specific application. The customer is solely responsible for selection of the subject product of GenTemP for use in the customer’s operations and applications. Customers are urged to make all necessary tests to determine the suitability of any product of GenTemP for use in the customer’s operations and applications prior to selecting such products for use.
- INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE. GenTemP shall not be liable for any claim, loss or damage incidental to the installation of this product whether as the result of defects in workmanship or materials or otherwise. This exclusion applies to all claims for incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, labor or materials expended in removing and replacing the product, damage to or loss of surrounding, adjacent or otherwise connected or related equipment, buildings, facilities or materials, loss of or damage to product or raw materials and loss of under contract arrangements of the purchaser.
- SHIPPING LOSS. GenTemP shall not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from transportation of its products regardless of the means of or responsibility for providing such product transportation. All such claims should be presented to and against the subject carrier.
- NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES. This Limited Warranty supersedes and replaces any and all representations and warranties, written or oral and no implied warranties including the implied warranty of merchantability, applies to any product of GenTemp.
WARRANTY PROCEDURE. Any person desiring to make a Limited Warranty claim must comply with the procedure herein set forth before any GenTemP warranty will apply to any product.
- Remove the product at the claimants cost and expense.
- Obtain by telephone, email, or letter to GenTemP Warranty Claims Office, 203 S 10th Street, Fairbury, IL 61739, 815-692-4471, an authorization to return.
- Upon receipt of the products and a dated copy of the original installation invoice or other proof of installation date, GenTemP will inspect the product and determine whether action in accord with the terms of the Limited Warranty is appropriate.
Upon honor of any Limited Warranty claim, GenTemP will, replace the subject product at no cost to the claimant. GenTemP warrants against failure of four (4) key components: the heating module, the thermostat, the battery pad, and the high limit safety. Failure of any of these key components within one (1) calendar year from installation date will result in direct replacement of the warranted part. Upon failure of any auxiliary equipment supplied by GenTemP this company will reasonably assist claimant with replacement of such auxiliary equipment. GenTemP Inc. nor any of its officers or share holders shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of installing this device on any consumer’s equipment or property.
